One Way or Another
You have stumbled upon the blog of three best friends. We, having just finished our first year of high school, decided to start a blog. Next year two of us will be studying abroad in Europe, so like any best friends we wanted to stay connected and we decided to create something interesting in the process. We hope our blog is helpful and fun because high school is tough and we've gotta stick together. Thank you for reading, please comment, share and +1! - Louise, Naomi & Elizabeth

News From America
Dear Louise,
Just a quick post to update you on events back in America.
Elizabeth and I started school today! We met lots of new people; our class is the biggest in the school (35 with 33 present). There are two new boys in the Sophomore class one from China and one from Spain. We leave for orientation tomorrow after Roll Call.
You may or may not know that our beloved receptionist left and has been replaced...
The campus is full of new people (27 in total)...
The girl in our class who is often obnoxious or mean and frequently dyes her hair (it was purple and is now half blue) got a bull-ring nose piercing...
(this is not actually her)
That's all for now,
- Naomi

Paris, School day #1
I went to school in France for the first time today! I didn't have to get there until 11:30 which was pretty nice, but I have to be there at 8:30 tomorrow... I have two late days (I think around 10:30) but most day I don't get out until about 4:30 and some days, not until 6! We didn't do much today but listen to our homeroom teachers (there are three) talk about stuff we need to know, and give us a few things. I got my identity card (I have to have it every time I want to get in and out of the school). The card is really just a piece of paper with each day, what times I can leave (lunch and after) and a picture of me next to my name. My picture is fine shockingly. I made some quick friends and 'm only a little scared of my teachers so it was all around a good day.

Paris, A few Days...
Dearests,
Today I went to a school "picnic" (there was no food) where I met new kids. It was just for new students so no one I met in my grade has been there before. There were a bunch of senior (they aren't seniors here, but they're two grades above us) who were the people who make you do stuff (games, talking, etc.) One thing that wasn't great was most of the people who I really liked are in that class, and none of them are even in the same school area as me... Anyway, I go to school Monday, and we'll see how it goes from there.
So for the question of cute. I see plenty of gorgeous French Fries (yep. I'm calling em french fries) on the streets and stuff but no that I really talk to.
Gotta run loves

Day 4?
Hey lovelies,
Just real quick. I waled the whole of Le Champs Elysees today! The shopping! ah... For lunch we stopped at a bread place, got sandwiches, and walked with them. :) This morning though, I had hot chocolate which may be the yummiest thing in the world. It's super thick and I got tartines (pretty much baguette toast with butter) and dipped it in the hot chocolate... Oh my god... heaven in a bite. For dinner we're doing fondue!
All in all, very french day!
Au revoir,
Louise

Paris, Days 2 &3
I've decided that writing everyday may not be the way to go but here I am. Yesterday was retry uneventful, but after going to a very french restaurant (they made me try bone marrow :P) we walked along the Seine for quite a ways and I got to see many a famous this or that (Notre Dame, the Louvre, etc.) Since it was a nice evening it was enjoyable and honestly just gorgeous! That is the part of Paris people come to see! I still hold by my earlier thought that it is too smoky here though. Apparently a good deal of the kids at school do, and I'd say 50% of everyone else does too.
Today I went with my cousin Z to a mall where everything costs a ton, and I plan on returning with my father and his credit cards ;) it has been a relaxing, eventful but enjoyable day that we are supposedly ending with a family movie night.
I'm getting a cell phone tomorrow which apparently I can text to the US with so that will be nice I guess. I'm just rambling now
Missing my Muskapeas,

Paris, Day 1
Hello Lovelies,
It's day one here in gay Paris! I am pretty much a zombie because I have been up since noon Monday, and it's 4:03 on Tuesday here. I'm trying to refrain from sleeping until at least 8 tonight so I can adjust!
The flight was loooong. It was boring and uneventful so that helped nothing. I watched The Other Woman and Noah while I was there though so that was cool. Other than the movies I did nothing really and of course I couldn't fall asleep...
When we finally got to the airport here, we still had an hour and half or so drive to the apartment. The apartment is awesome. Huge, colorful, and fun. My room is really nice (it's pink!!!) and I spent multiple hours unpacking so I'm all settled. Tomorrow we will go to a drugstore to buy shampoo and the sort, but I don't have the energy today (when I say we, I mean my dad who, of course, slept almost the whole flight :( ). Anyway after unpacking and hanging around, we all headed out to lunch at a creperie! Started with savory and finished with sweet, and I must say I think I'm gonna ike it here!
Well that pretty much sums up my first day so far. We are supposedly having a simple dinner in, and I hope to sleep soon. I have a few thoughts on the place though before I go anywhere. First, it's very smokey here. There is a constant wind so you don't really see the smoke but a crazy amount of people smoke everywhere. Second, the drivers here are maniacs and the people walking are just as bad, so it's a constant game of dodge the car. Third, as soon as I got here I realized why tourists come to visit. It is not to see Paris as is, but to see the only the old beautiful parts. Lucky for me, I will be living in a huge apartment in one of the old beautiful parts! The fourth and last thought, is about the Eiffel Tower. OH MY GOD. Everyone tells you how huge and cool it is, but let me say: It's way bigger! Nothing really prepared me from the sheer size of the thing!
Anyway, love you guys always,
Louise
