Switched at Birth - Naomi

Today I am reviewing/discussing the show Switched at Birth by ABC Family. I recently began watching it through Netflix as my family actually doesn't have a TV (I could probably write a whole post explaining the oddities of my family life).

The basic plot line of Switched at Birth can be guessed from the title; the two main characters were switched at birth. At the age of 16 the daughter of a rich baseball star (or so she thinks) and the deaf daughter of a single mother struggling to pay bills, find out that they were switched in the hospital nursery the day they were born. Over several episodes the two families begin to get to know each other before some plot twists and complications are added in later episodes. Overall I enjoy the show although if you watch too much in a short amount of time you can get sick of it. While watching the show you will probably pick up a bit of ASL (American Sign Language). I encourage you to watch the first episode or two if you haven't already, just to try it out.
