Today will go down in history as one of the greatest days ever for Muggles, as JK Rowling has just released a 1,500 word short story detailing the lives of your fave Harry Potter characters seven years later. If this isn't a magical dream come true, we don't know what is.Writing as the gossip columnist Rita Skeeter for Pottermore.com, Rowling details the adult wizards' lives, including a 34-year-old Harry. "About to turn 34, there are a couple of threads of silver in the famous Auror's black hair, but he continues to wear the distinctive round glasses that some might say are better suited to a style-deficient twelve-year-old," the sassy gossip columnist (aka JK Rowling) writes.
It not only features the chosen one—you also get tons of deets about life for husband-and-wife duo Ron and Hermione, Harry's wife Ginny, Luna Lovegood, Neville Longbottom, and more! "The short story is part of a series of pieces written by Rowling about the 2014 Quidditch Cup for Pottermore," The Guardian reported. And the final article will be published on July 11, featuring Ginny Potter as a journalist, covering the cup final.
And as if this day couldn't get any better, the brand new Diagon Alley at the Wizarding World of Harry Potter officially opens today (!!!). So basically it's an all-around ~*magical*~ day.
