The show focuses of Buffy, who is super badass (think black widow or catwoman) and her two best friends Xander and Willow. They live on "The Hellmouth" which is the center of mystical convergence. It is Buffy's job to slay (and therefore protect others from) vampires and other demons. Each episode features an encounter with the supernatural, often at the end of a mystery which Buffy and company solve. It is a little silly seeming when you start watching it, but it grows on you. There is plenty of romance, adventure, mystery and action. You should watch it (it's on netflix).
